Noisy AC compressor

I have 1993 honda DEL SOL 1.5L.
with 125K miles. When I turn my AC OFF it maked lots of noise but when I turn it ON there is no noise there. I have always seen opposite like when you turn AC ON it makes noise. Noise comes from AC compressor area of engine. Is it bad compressor?

Hi, I have a 95 eg8 honda civic. Wen I put on my ac. It runs ok and cools and everything but makes ah loud screecthing sound on the outside. Could someone tell me if my compressor needs to check? :
