1991 Honda CRX loose cap

My crx cap worked itself loose. Reattached screw and got it to start. It wouldnt rev past 3500. I installed new cap and rotor and let it sit overnite and tried next moring. It started and ran perfectly for 10 miles then wouldn't rev past 3500 and then eventually wouldn't rev past idle. Stuttered and shook while trying to accelerate. I let sit for 15 minutes and it started and again wouldn't rev past 3500 and finally would not rev over idle.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What condition are your plugs and plug wires in?

You most likely have weak spark, if the tune-up items have been replaced I would start diagnosing the ignition coil.
