1990 Honda CRX almost no brakes with pedal to the floor, pl

When I hit the brakes my idle lowers and almost sounds like its stalling, I hear a releasing of air coming from behind the pedal, and its really tight and almost doesnt work. Brake fluid is fine, and I checked all the lines for all 4 wheels. What else can I check?

Sounds like a bad vacuum brake booster (Brake master cylinder is bolted to it). The reason it wants to stall is that when you hit the brakes, your bad booster is causing a vacuum leak, which will lean out the air/fuel mixture (more air than fuel) and cause it to idle rough or even stall.
