Hi,
I have a piston ring stuck in the groove of a piston. Is there any way I can remove it whithout breaking it? Is there any solvent I can soak it in to free it up? Or is there anything I can mix up to soak it in? Thank you.

Hi Joseph Siomiak,

Carb cleaner and gasoline can be used to soak and soften the carbon to release the piston rings.

After soaking, use compressed air to dry it out and the carbon would be easier to remove.
