My rear hatch indicator light on the dash stays on when the hatch is securely closed. Is this a switch problem & where's the switch. Should I try WD-40 or have the switch replaced ? Thanks

Hi wteeter,

The switch is on the latch. It could be a grounded wire. Pull out switch wire and if light goes off, it is the switch otherwise you need to look for shorting.

Here is how to replace the latch which is the problem if removing the ground works, the switch inside the latch is bad. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.
