Front wiper movement not good

Four cylinder all wheel drive automatic 65,000 miles

Front wipers not working properly makes a slamming noise on both ends of movement.

Such problems are usually caused by worn wiper arm pivots or links if the blades are in good condition. Lift the wiper blades and shake the arm pivot for excessive side movement which would mean bad links or pivots.
