I just bought a 2003 honda crv that had 34,000 miles on it. It has a squeaky noise every time the brakes are released. I had the brake pads replaced since they were ready to be replaced. However the squeaky noise when every time the brake pedal is released is still their. It sounds like its coming from
the drivers side either from the front or back or both.
I had a similar problem on another car and it was as simple as doing some oiling somewhere on the brake pedal assembly.

Hi rafean,

Noise diagnosis are never easy especially online and you would need to pin point the source to be able to rectify it.

Being all round disc brakes, the chances of the calipers making the noise is almost nil as the pistons and brake pads movements are minimal.

If the noise is from the brake pedal, some lubrication to the brake push rod pin or brake pedal return spring should solve the problem.
