I have an 02 CRV that has developed a stalling issue. When driving the "D" indicator will go out and the engine loses power. Power returns after a few moments and the "D" indicator comes back on. It has also stalled when approaching a stop. Things like radio, wipers, etc. don't drop out and the dash lights do not come on as if the ignition as been turned off.

The D4 indiator light going off indicares a power supply interruption. Since the interruption is not from the ignition switch, you would need to check the connections between the ignition switch to the fuse box.

Unplug the connectors at the fuse box and look out for signs of overheating or contaminations.
