2002 Honda CRV cam angle sensors

2002 Honda CRV 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 160K miles

The mechanic repairing my car has informed me that the guidelines state that I have to replace both cam angle sensors even though only one has stopped working.
Is this correct? or can I replace the faulty one only.
What is the honda recommendation?

There are no such guidelines that I can find regarding the replacement as a pair, even from Honda..

Only faulty components should be replaced and leave the good ones alone.
