I have noticed that the brake pedal will go to the floor while stopped with the engine running, if more pressure is applied than was needed to stop. The master cylinder has been replaced and no leaks were found. I found that if the vacum line to the assist unit is dissconnected that the pedal then does not go down below where the brakes normally are effective.
