2000 Honda CRV Whistling Noise

Noise appears at random and I cannot associate it with anything other than some engine component. Does not matter if engine is hot or cold. And, it does not sound like a worn/bad bearing. Sounds similar to the noise my daughter's car made when the PCV valve was bad. She has a 2004 Honda CRV.

HI there,

A whistle can usually be associated with a vacuum leak, you can check around manifolds with a length of hose to your ear, this will soon pick up any leak, check this first.
