2000 Honda CRV CLUNKING

There has been a clunk from the front for the past year,seemed to be coming from around the drivers feet area. The clunk today has got worse and the driveshafts into the gearbox now can be pushed in from either side, is this the end for the gearbox or is there something else inside.

Do you mean the axles? or the driveshaft?

Either way this doesn't sound good. Bring it to a transmission shop and have them look at it.
