Our CR-V has made a sound like the tire is rubbing against the inside of the wheel well when turned very sharply in parking lots etc. Lately, the sound is occurring when the turn is not as sharp. The wheel well doesn't show signs of wear though the inside tread does. I'm now assuming it's a transaxle problem.

Hi Tsam,

On concrete parking lots, rubbing noise at turns are normal.

Abnormal wear of the tires could mean the alignment is out, get it checked.
