1999 Honda CRV Automatic

I had my car engine head skim but now it is making load noise like an old truck so I adjust the vale to 8mm but it is still making noise. What is the correct valve adjustment and could there be a another reason for the noise when idle as well as while driving also when the a/c is on it make more noise and start to jump?

Hi hotchick101,

Valve adjustment should be done with engine cold.

Intake = 0.08 - 0.12 mm
Exhaust = 016 - 0.20 mm

Excessive noise could be due to improper timing belt adjustment, a slack timing belt would cause a lot of noise.
