1998 Honda CRV Rear Whirring sound

When car starts rolling a rraarr - rraarrr sound, as loud as sloshing water eminates from rear (axle?) of car. It doesn't occur at any other time.

Hi Rangermax,

If the noise is intensified when turning, I would suggest getting the rear axle fluids replaced.

The correct fluid must be used, failing which the noise would not be eliminated. After replacement of the fluids, some running is needed to reduce the noise.
