I noticed a mos ago the air was working only when I idol or if I don't go over 20mph. I had an evac and recharge on July 15th 08, and they put 1.5 freon in, I also had had 2 lbs freon put in last August 07) The first time they could'nt promise it would work, he stated their maybe a slow leak and put dye in. Well it still wasn't working so I took to a another person who specializeds in radiators/ac yesterday 7/29/08 and he replaced an ac line that was blocked or corroded. He also evac and recharged again. So low and behold I drive away and it is really cold when I am idolling and when I go over 25 mph, it blows luke warm air. I have spent over $400 in past two weeks and it is still not working correctly. Confused and frustrated.

Hi pcasey,

You mentioned that if over 25 mph, the AC would not blow cool. Does it remain the same if you slow down? Or it begins to blow cold again?

In order to understand the condition of your AC system, we need you to provide the static, low and high pressure readings.

Hi pcasey,

I can't think of any possible electrical reasons to cause the problem.

What if the rpm is increased to more than 2,000 at idling? I suspect the crankshaft pulley might be faulty as the dynamic damper might have detached. You might have charging problem too.
