1998 Honda CRV idle air control valve and motor problems

I had the check engine light come on and it read the code for the iac vavle I took the old one off it looked dirty
i sprayed the throttle body and changed the valve and filled the coolant level wheree it need to be.
the light came back on after like 45 miles off driving I gueess its not the iac. Do u know what the probelm is

my motor will not go past 5.5 rpms and it readlines at 7.5 I asked my other mechanic and its not the iac valve or the engine light pleaes help

Hi ihatecivics,

If the scan after replacement of the IAC still shows IAC is faulty, you need to replace the PCM. When IAC falis due to shorting, the PCM would get damaged.
