1998 Honda CRV both left sided speakers not working

1998 Honda CRV Automatic

It wasn't until recently that both speakers on the left side, both front and rear stopped working. We discovered this when we thought it was a blown speaker and replaced all 4 with new ones. The right side seems to be working just fine.

I was wondering if you had any suggestions on how I can go about checking the wiring or any other potential problem? Or even replacing the speaker wires? I have already opened the dash and removed the radio exposing the wiring.

Did you check the balance feature?

If the balance is adjusted to full right, the left speakers would not sound.
