I have a battery light on in my CR V. I see one belt in the engine. It is to the right as you look under the hood. It is working fine. Is there another belt that may have broken and causing the battery not to charge? Or is this simply an matter of needing a new battery? I did find that the battery cells were in need of fluid.

Thank you.

Hi lawofficemouse,

The charging system is faulty and you need to check the alternator, its belt and fuses.

Battery condition is a different problem.
