Both codes deal with transmission issues. You need to have it tested by a trans tech.

If the check engine light is on, take it into a auto parts store. These places will generally tell you what the code the computer is throwing and what is wrong.

First, what is the code number? A code never identifies a bad part, just a failed system.

Lets do the diag before jumping to any conclusion.
