I have a 94 civic. after the air filter on the bottom of the hose leading to the throttle body I have a round hole which when I accelerate the engine will whine. I think either a plug or hose has fallen off. Not which one.

Situation. Driving home and all of a sudden the engines RPMs increase and would not change gears unless I let off on the throttle.

If it is just a plug that has fallen off Can I just plug it with something else. As I feel on the inside of the hole there does seem to be a device (sensor).

Thanks for any suggestion.

Is it just a hole or does it have a nippe on it? What is the diameter of the opening (approx)? Look around under and you will most likely find a loose hose hanging. Get dirty and look around for it.
