Transmission problem
2008 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

I replaced the clutch. I can't get the transmission to totally seat. The splines line up and engage. There seems to be a hang up on the shifters. Is there a special position the gears or shifter forks need to be in to slide the xmsn in and seated all the way?

Is there any special sequence or secret to seating the xmsn housing to the clutch housing?

Hi russw2007,

If the clutch disc is not aligned correctly, the trans would not slide in.

Check for other obstructins such as wire harnesss, bracket, pins etc. DO NOT force the trans in, it can cause damage to the clutch disc.
