My car SOMETIMES makes a clicking noise at start up when idling with the engine is cold and when accelerating with a cold engine. It is very loud.I think because of my exhaust but sometimes it makes this noise and sometimes it doesn't I don't understand why. Sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesn't its a hit or miss.

HI there,

Have the exhaust system check for a leak and particularly the exhaust manifold, you may have to remove the heat shield to check all the bolts and for any carbon trace from a leak, start here.

I have a Honda civic Lx 2008. When I start the car in the morning. The sound is very high than the normal but as soon as I change to drive, the sound comes back to normal. It is an automatic car. What might be the cause?

It sounds like you could have a broken flex plate I can tell for sure if you can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can hear the noise, that would be great. You can upload it here with your response. Cheers! Ken
