Engine Mechanical problem
2007 Honda Civic 4 cyl Automatic 46000 miles

i would like ask you about problem

with my car I have bought new car

honda civic sedan 2007 and after

i passed 15000km I found the level

of oil engine is less and remember

im changing the oil engine every 5000km

and every 5000km I found one liter less

of oil engine

so I went to the dealer many time

with explain the same problem

until I passed more than 70000km

and all answer I got from the dealer

that my car engine is good and have no

problem with and getting less of oil is normal

by steaming!

and it, s possible to be less one liter/1000km

and I still can, t believe it

it, s so strange for me to find machine eating

oil like that and im afraid for what, s

gona happend for my car engine in the future

so my questione is that right to found

new machine of honda with less level of oil

engine and if it, s not how I can know the

reason of it if there is no leaking?

and how to prove it?

also I went to rent cars offices

and I asked them

about if they are facing same problem

with the same model of my car but I don, t

found any problem with them and I had

checked 3 cars oil engine level

and no less of oil there?

that, s drive me crazy

i hope to find answer

Hi there,

if there is no external leak, I would be thinking that you may have a faulty oil control ring in one cylinder, unfortunately there is no test for this, about the only thing that you can look at is the spark plug condition, the plug will have some deposits attached to the central electrode if that cylinder is using unusual amounts of oil.
