Can a car engine get too much air from the intake?

Hi there,

The short answer is no, the volume of air entering the engine is proportional to the designed swept volume of the engine, you could have an induction 3' wide and you would still draw the same amount of air, the only difference being the air speed entering the engine, other factors will determine if the engine is running to lean, i hope that this answers you question.
