2006 Honda Civic Whining noise when cold

I have a 2 door 2006 civic. When we go to start the car.
We get a loud whing sound when you excelerate.
It lasts till car warms up. Then goes away.Could this be aworn belt?

Yes it could be a worn belt, it could also be that you are a tad low on power steering fluid.

Either way, check your belt, pullies and fluid levels.

The whining of the engine while acceleratoring would be the power steering fuild? The belts sound logical.

Low power steering fluid would result in the power steering pump whining when cold.

A/C compressor clutch bearing would also whine at cold due to higher rpm and level would drop after warming up.
