2006 Honda Civic premium fuel

my civic si calls for premium gas.
my questions are if i don't use premium but mid grade or even regular, what will happen to my car?
what if i use mid grade but pour octane booster in the tank? will that help the mid grade instead of paying $3.50 a gallon for premium?

Hi there,

if you use a lower grad fuel, you engine management system will adjust it self for optimum performance, but you will get far better mileage and value for money using premium fuel.
