I have a question about a howling noise only heard in the rear of the car only while I am in reverse. Usually this occurs when the car has sitting for several hours. The noise can also occur sometimes when the car is warm too.

Hi cprichardson,

Get the rear brake pads checked. Possibly the pad wear indicator is brushing against the rotor causing the noise.
