My engine tem guage pegged at 100% yesterday. I pulled over and checked and the reserve was empty. I filled it with a 50-50 mix of radiator fluid and water. Will this fix the issue or is it something deeper.

Hi lonniesnyder08,

This is not going to solve the problem. There should be some leaking somewhere and it has to be rectified.

Did you check the coolant level in radiator? Hope you did not use any coolant as different brands of coolant can cause checmical reactions that can clog the radiator.
