My daughter accidentally nudged the white thing (is it a latch?) that holds the door closed. The door can be locked, but it's jutting out and I'm afraid it will swing open. Then I pushed the latch way in, and now it's stuck even more, unable to move in or out. I need help ASAP!

If I understand this correctly the latch is flipped closed and the door just bounces on the striker and does not close at all?

If this is the case, just pull the inside door handle and that will release the latch as if you are opening the door. The latch does not know if the door is actually closed or not so by operating the latch with the inside door handle will open it like normal.

If this does not work, we are going to have to remove the door panel and find out what is happening inside. Here is a guide that will help with that:

Let us know if you have questions and we can go from there. Thanks
