we have an intermittent tapping sound when traveling at lower speeds. starts after driving for 10 miles or so. when making a turn may be the trigger. when it starts, if i put on the brakes it stops. when i come to a complete stop, the last few feet it will tap again.

Hi skip1959,

Check the wheel lug nuts for proper tightening.
Get the wheel bearing bearings checked for excessive play.
