My oil needs changing and instead i put 3 qts of the proper oil in it untill i could get a oil change. After i did that i was driving it and there was ALOT of white smoke coming out the tailpipe and low performance. I would step on the gas and nothing would happen. I noticed the oils is dripping out the left side undercarriage of the car! Could it be the new oil blew the old filter up?! Cracked a gasket? What would cause the oil to leak out so much!

Hi there,

you will have to give it a good wash down and run the engine to locate the leak, if you had to add so much oil i feel you have had a leak for some time, as for the smoke, white is usually coolant, so check the coolant level and if low have a head check done for a blown head gasket.
