When my car is in Park it makes a "abnormal" noise. I took my car into the local mechanic and he said it was a bad ground on my tail lights. The problem went away, and now its back. What could be some possible causes? Thank You

It started after someone installed after market tail lights. It only happens when vehicle is in Park. While engine is running, and coming from automatic shifter. Its rapid clicking. Any more ideas?

Sounds like the shift interlock solenoid is what is making the clicking n oise and thats because the brake light circuit is somehow engaging. I would start looking at the tail light wiring to see where the tail lights were wired in and fix it. Somehow if you lose the braqke light ground then the tail light will backfeed the brake light circuit and cause the shift solenoid to go crazy.
