My 04 Honda Civic is running great can't even tell the car is running the engine is so quiet. Only problem is my "Maintenance Required Light" is on. Car has 56,000 miles. Any idea how I can determine what type of maintenance is required at 56,000 miles? I'm a backyard mechanic and can handle most non-major repairs.

That light just means you need an oil change. Or the last person who did the oil change, did not reset it properly.

For service intervals, refer to your maintenance book or owners manual.
