My driver side door lock does not work and now I have my side air bag light going on and off at times. Can these be related issues from the same source? I'm hearing things about a teranmitter being bad or an actuator. Any suggestions?

Hi shaydogg,

You need a scan to find out what is wrong with the SRS system.

What is wrong with the driver side door lock?

Hi shaydogg,

Most probably the door lock actuator is faulty.

You need to remove the door panel to get at the actuator.
Unplug the wire socket and bridge with a testlamp, operate the lock/unlock. If the lamp lights up, the actuator is faulty and needs to be replaced.
