For the past two weeks, my car has been threatening to overheat. The hand on the gauge will fluctuate up and down, going close to the H and then come back down after a minute or two. I have taken it to get the fluids topped off, had the cooling system flushed and it still keeps running hot. What should I do?

Try replacing the thermostat and go from there.
