2003 Honda Civic power steering dead not responding

This has happened a few times usually just after car has started. Turning out of parking or turning for u-turn steering just goes dead, have to back off then regains a bit as vehicle straightens out. So farproblem only with turning

To begin with check the power steering belt tension and fluid level/condition. Considering the year and mileage I doubt you have a failed pump resulting in poor pressure issue.
