2003 Honda Civic oil use

I have 2 differnet opinions, one said valve seals and the other said rings, is there away to tell if I need to replace the valves seals or if my rings are bad,How can I tell which is my trouble?

Hi rhodeser,

There are no confirm means of determining which is the cause but Honda engines seldom have problerm with the rings. The seals would be more likely. If you need to replace the rings, then it is likely the valve seals have to be replaced as well.
