2003 Honda Civic maintence light all of a sudden came on

this is not the check engine light.....this light i is a service light...that blinks all of a sudden when i start the car...stays blinking fo 5 seconds and then goes out.....i do all the routine maintence....is this just the computer making the light come on because the car has hit a certain mileage?...i would really appreciate your help...thank you...steve smith
