2003 Honda Civic IMA battery specifications

Have Hona civic hybrid,1.3 litre /4cyl, auto. 186,000 highway miles. IMA battery is way expensive. Looking for possible other alternative/s. If 12VoltDC..... how about 2 or 3 regular batteries in parrallel? Don't mind using trunk space. Any suggestion/s? Thank you...

Hi Kirti,

IMA = 144 volts system = 12 batteries in series, you got that much space?
