Ok so I am doing this for my gf. She was involved in an accident with a sign that left the front of her car damaged. They say her power steering is damaged including the reservoir. She can hardly turn it, and apparently lost alot fluid. Also there seems to be a leak in the exhaust maybe as fumes come back in the car when not moving. The airbag deployed and the hood is dented. My question is do you think the engine was damaged? How much will it cost to repair? And where to find cheap parts?

Hi there,
The engine should be fine, the items you mentioned should not cause any concern, as for cost this is unknown until it can be fully inspected, most parts can be sourced from a wreckers, with the airbag being new genuine, you should never even think about second hand SRS components.

Ok I hope so.I mean it was a pretty gnarly sign haha. What would cause the exhaust to come back into the car? The radiator was damaged but has since been replaced. Yes do you know any good places for inspection near Ventura, CA by any chance?

Any exhaust leak can be drawn back into the car, you will have to check the full exhaust for leaks, as for a work shop, sorry can't help as I live in Australia.
