Hi.

i lived in new jersey, I have a honda civic 2002 lx with automatic transmision. With no problem at all, all fluid change is up to date. Currently 109.000 miles on it.

one day I hit the pot hole two times in a same day,
then after the 2nd pot hole that I hit, I drove a car like 2 miles then the transmision start acting up like slipping(not move at all), so I turn off the car like 5 minutes then I start drive a car again, and it was fine just for 1/2 miles then slipping(not move at all) again. So I have to tow my car home. Until 2 weeks letter I start the car again just want to find out what happen, and it was run and drive fine just for about 1 miles only then start slipping again(not move at all).
oh yes the trans just get some oil change may be about 1000 miles with honda transmision fluid.
when I start the car after 2 weeks since the problem, its have a sound like whirling in the tourque converter area. Not sure what it is.

so what should I do?
is that a internal damage and need to rebuild or just a simple thing like a losse connection?

thanks

Hi alberthugo,

Check the CV shafts to see if any side had been dislodged.

Get a scan done to see if any trouble codes have been stored.

When vehicle does not move, is there any abnormal noise when engine is started with gar engaged?

Hi.
I just check the cv shaft today and its looks good.
It was engine light on, dont have a change to check because the battery is death and erase the code.
But this morning when I jump start it, there is a squeling noise again around the trans(not that loud). But it is still not move after I shift to drive. As soon I shift to drive the noise is gone. And I put neutral the noise come back. Then I put it on reverse the noise is gone, but my car able to move back for 50 cm then slip again.I put neutral again then the noise come back, after that I let the noise on for 2-3 minute then I put in the reverse again, my car able to move like only 50cm again and so on. But not go foward on drive.
Is this any internal damage or just something else

thanks
albert
