2002 Honda Civic TDC sensor

I took my car to auto zone to be put on the computer due to the car losing power when the car warms up. after cooling off the car runs great again. Auto zone put it on the computer and said it was a TDC sensor failure. What does this mean?

Hi rodgray1970, We need to know the exact trouble code to understand what is wrong. Here is a diagram of the location of the part. It is a sensor for sensing the top dead centre of the pistons.
