2002 Honda Civic Overpaid for Brake Job

I just want confirmation that I paid too much so I can cry, learn a lesson, and make sure not make the same mistake twice. Oh, and get some advice, perhaps.

Today I paid $700 for new brake pads, drums, shoes, and to have the rotors resurfaced. I feel like I got totally ripped off (and I'm sure I did.) What can I do next time to get a better deal?

Well, from reading at what was done and at the parts it sounds about right. My only question would be why did they replace the drums.

Looks like part cost would be between $400 - $500

And rest would be labor.

One way to save is to do it yourself. If you think with our help you can complete the task.
