Hi Cymro,

Did you check the throttle cable adjustment?

Is the check engine light showing?

Sorry I have never used this model so is not sure if it works. When purchasing it, did you confirm with the shop?

It seems something is not closing allowing excessive air into the system causing the high idle. I would suggest cleaning the IAC and throttle body to see if it helps.

Most major parts houses provides the scanning services either free or for a nimonal fee. You can get it done to check for trouble codes first.

Sometimes resetting the ECM solves such problems. Disconnect the battery terminals for at least 20 seconds to reset.

When ECM is removed, it loses all its memory so any trouble codes would be erased.

You need to drive the vehicle until troubles codes are recorded before scanning is useful.

I would suspct the IAC to be sticking causing the problem. Recheck the IAC and clean it one more time. Did you remove it from vehicle to clean previously?
