Electrical problem
2002 Honda Civic Automatic 75000 miles

My 2002 Civic LX headlight cover is very dirty on the INSIDE, probalby needs some sealant. I want to know how I can remove the cover so it can be thoroughly cleaned on the inside and would these instructions hold true for the taillights as well? Thanks.

Hi Gailbladder,

The head and taillights are sealed units and one of the way to remove the cover is to use a heated blower to soften the sealants so that the cover can be pried out.

These are non serviceable parts and what I have described are based on personal experience.

The lenses can be cleaned but the refelector would not be easy to, so take care not to dirty them.
