Check engine light came on for approx 1 week. Went off for approx 3 days then returned.
Took it to dealer and their diagnosis is a failed O2 bypass solenoid module. Dealer cost to repair is $790.00 parts, labor and tax. No change in performance - gas mileage slightly improved.

What harm if I don't replace it? Any effect on PCM?

Where is the part located on the car and how difficult to replace? Does the PCM require reprograming & is that a dealer only procedure?

Where can I down load a procedure to fix this myself?
