I have a Civic 4 DR DX-G. The problem is my trunk on the left side of the car is sticking up about half an inch above the rear fender. ( the right side is aligned and snug). The trunk does not get a good seal with the gasket or trunk liner so it lets water/snow into the trunk. The problem occurred when I put my winter tires in the trunk, and it must of knoced it out of alignment. There doesn t appear to be any bends in the trunl or hinges, however i did notice to metal bars that run horizontily along the trunk hing. Is there a quick adjustment that i can do to solve the problem before i bring it in to be repaired?

thanx

Hi crimsomblue,

You can try adjusting the latch striker on the base of the trunk to get the alignment back. Release the 2 x 10 mm hex bolt slightly and adjust accordingly.
