Transmission problem
2001 Honda Civic 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 67,000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Trans will suddenly not engage in any gear. Fluid is clean and full. Shift travel feels normal, goes into P normally. No previous symptoms indicating any trouble. Car was parked for a few hours, I got in to leave and trans will not engage.

Hi cobe scheldt,

Thank you for the donation.

There are a few variants of transmission used and I am not sure which model type is used on your vehicle.

Can you please provide the exact model of vehicla and trans eg model = Civic EX, DX,
Trans model = CVT? BMXA ?

Try disconnecting the battery negative terminals for a few minutes and reconnecting to allow the PCM to reset. DON'T forget to disarm alarm system first and remove key from ignition.
