2001 Honda Civic computer or trans?

I have 2001 civic that after 5-min drive it stop running, engin works fine but trany slippery to the point of not moveing even on high idel, and after stop engin and waiting 2-3 min start engin again then take me another 5- min of driving befor it so slippery that I cant move, I replace with another trans that have very low mile and it does this again, feel like I have computer problame or bad trany again?

Hi Dave,

If your are saying that the Engine Dies and you have to wait for it to cool down then it is most likely and engine problem not a tranny problem. If this is the case then run vehicle till it dies agian and check to see if you have Spark at the plugs.
